What happens when...

You leave a 3-year-old to work on a Valentine project, which includes cutting out hearts, to go get her baby sister to sleep?

At first I thought it was just a little snip as the little snip on the chair in the first picture was all I saw. I soon saw in the garbage that she had been ever so responsible at throwing away the rest. I am secretly stoked because 1. I get to have a mullet child for a short time until I can get to the hairdresser (I'm not touching this one) and 2. It wasn't the usual bangs 0.5 cm long that most kids do and is pretty fixable I think.

Well, at least I have my new Jack CD to calm my frayed nerves. (Thanks Sweetie).

Her Grandma Anya and Grandma Toni are coming up and she's quite excited to show them how "funny" she looks (her words). Yes, Malia, you are our Funny Valentine.

Wishing everyone a Happy Valentines Day filled with sugar cookies, stickers, conversation hearts, and lots and lots of kisses.

P.S. I just laughed when I realized I typed half a centimeter out 0.5 cm--all measurements in medical transcriptioning are typed using numbers and anything with a . in front of it needs a 0 first. Just in case you were wondering.

Oh my goodness...

Is this for real?

Are you breath-ing? Don't be turning buh-loooo now!

Did you panic? What was her reaction when you found her? This is so precious!

So, did you ever cut YOUR hair? Oh, that's right, you just laughed at your sister for years when she cut her hair in a mullet style.

--From a mother who only slightly relishes in her grown-daughters' pain that seems to come around some.

Looks like the term "babymullet" can now be added to to our dictionary of mulletude. Don't be afraid to take the scissors to it. You could really turn that into a truly beautiful mullet with a few skillful cuts.

Who actually said the term, "babymullet?" We're talking about a 3 1/2 year old! Thanks for your comment, bunna & biff, but I think you coined the term.

That's hilarious! I would totally die...but I guess when you start out with a boy-cut at 1/4" there's not a lot they can do with it. Please say they never have any sisters! Oh, the damage they could do to her hair with a pair of scissors!
