Sunrise, sunset
swiftly fly the years.
One season following another
Laden with happiness and tears.
This song has been resonating in my brain for months now. Is Halloween really almost four months past? Really?
We're finally in our new home and really working on making it our home, one that we hopefully can live in FOREVER. Because I am never moving again. Please remind me of this should I ever say I want to move again. I cannot even express how I have felt the hands of angels lifting me through some patches these past few months. (I hope you know who you are. I would name names, but then I would inevitably leave someone out). My in-laws were so so so so kind in having three young children in their home and letting us stay for almost three months. My heart is just so full with gratitude and I only hope that I can give back what has been given to me.
Halloween came and went while living at Grandma Anya and Grandpa Vaun's house. We got to trick-or-treat to Darrin's childhood neighbors and I got to hear all about the practical jokes he played as a kid. To think I could have gone my whole life without hearing these stories, well, let's not live in what ifs. I'm just glad to have heard them.
The kids loved living with one set of grandparents and being three blocks away from the others. Can you say spoiled ROTTEN???
We had lots and LOTS of out takes while we tried to get a Christmas picture. Tessa was being a real card.
And we have a winner. Or at least nobody is crying. Well, there might have been a tear of frustration coming out of my eye, but I hid it well.
We made it into our new house just in time for Christmas (less than a week before), but I was determined to have Christmas decorations up. We may have had most everything else still in boxes, but darnit, we shall have stockings I sayeth. And this is what we get when I'm tired and I try to write a blog entry...I start speaking in Elizabethan... or scripturese or something.
And my family didst come on the eve of Christmas. And they didst dwell with us and made merry. And Grandma Julie didst make sure the kids were pajamad appropriately.
And there shalt be more in due time. For now, I canst dwell in my new house with a lesser amount of guilt lingering in my heart knowing that a few memories were put down in the book of life. I mean the blog.
